Instruments - The key instrument is the Dhol (double-headed barrel-shaped drum) which plays the chaal (traditional rhythm), but the use of technology is huge. Technology? - Bhangra makes use of a number of different types of technology, such as sampling (putting in sounds from other piece of music), loops (digitally repeating a particular segment of music), use of synthesisers (electronic instruments), and effects on vocals such as echo and reverb.
